According to this presentation the venv can be activated on a Mac Visual Studio Code installation by executing the following command:
# OSX/Linux (bash)
<folder name>/bin/activate
But I get a 'Permission denied' error. See the following log file:
MARCO:Python marc$ virtualenv myvenv
Using base prefix '/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.8'
New python executable in /Users/marc/Documents/marc/Training/Python/myvenv/bin/python3.8
Also creating executable in /Users/marc/Documents/marc/Training/Python/myvenv/bin/python
Installing setuptools, pip, wheel...
done.
MARCO:Python marc$ myvenv/bin/activate
bash: myvenv/bin/activate: Permission denied
I did a little bit of research and found a post which describes the same error. Apparently you have to use 'source' or '.' in front of the command similar to what you describe for Windows Systems. See the following log file:
MARCO:Python marc$ . myvenv/bin/activate
(myvenv) MARCOARO-M-22E1:Python marc$
This is a link to the post I refer to:

You may want to take a look and fix the presentation if necessary.
