I have a MacBook pro with an i5 processor, 8 G ram, running Catalina 10.15.7 and have installed my serato dj pro and ddj-sr2 mix board on it. I cannot get TIDAL to appear in. But it doesn't work for everyone and it definitely won't work if you're on Catalina (catalina only supports 64 bit and SSL is only 32 bit). The SL3 should work although the boxes have had some issues with Catalina (hopefully you didn't upgrade) and only the SL3 is officially supported in Catalina.

Serato support for macOS Catalina - here’s what you need to know

Serato DJ Pro and Lite

Released today, DJ Pro 2.3 and DJ Lite 1.3 are both supported in macOS Catalina. Apple’s new ‘Music’ app is also supported which means it will be a seamless transition for DJs. Libraries are loaded automatically with no need for manual exporting.

However, there is a collection of DJ hardware from some of our partners that do not currently work with macOS Catalina. This is out of Serato’s control and all DJs should check the support status of their hardware in the link below before updating.

Scratch Live 2.5 Bug Fixes

Alongside these key features Scratch Live 2.5 also includes bug fixes to continue the unparalleled level of stability and performance that Serato software is known for.

Some examples of the bug fixes are:

  • Mixtape .als recordings now work with Ableton Live 9.
  • Fixed a bug where the beatgrid lock wasn't being saved and loaded to/from the file; it was only being saved to the database.
  • The Sixty-Eight record source is now correctly loaded from preferences.
  • Fixed a bug where the CDJ-350 was sending both MIDI and HID messages which meant it could possibly fire two different Scratch Live events at the same time.
  • Fixed a bug where the DJFX deck assignments wouldn't save to preferences if going from being 'on' initially, to 'off'.
